The Sims 2 Seasons is the fifth expansion pack for The Sims 2 and is by far my favorite Sims 2 expansion pack even though I had to get a brand new computer to be able to play it!

Sims 2 Seasons graphics are absolutely mesmerizing. There’s rain with flashes of lightning. Snow will fall gently to the ground and will build up a nice blanket over time. Ponds will slowly freeze and then thaw out as the weather changes. The sunlight will change from blazing bright in the summertime to a soft amber in the fall. Sims 2 Seasons is simply gorgeous.

Sims are supposed to automatically change into their winter clothes when they go outside, but when they come home from work or school they wear their regular clothes or uniforms. So when they first step out of the car or off the bus, they stand there shivering until they get inside. It’s fun to choose different outfits for the different seasons (shorts in the summer, sweaters in the winter), but neighbors and townies wear the same outfit year-round, even if it doesn’t fit the season. Finally, NPC’s never have outerwear. Even during a blizzard, the mail carrier still wears shorts and he’ll shake like an electric toothbrush while he delivers the mail.

In the Sims 2 Seasons expansion pack, there are many new features and activities such as gardening, fishing, ice skating, roller skating, and of course Sims now get to experience all four seasons, winter, autumn, spring, summer. Each season lasts for five Sim-days and progresses into the next season. Sims 2 Seasons even allows you to design your own climate scheme for each neighborhood. Basically, you can have Spring all year long in University or you can have spring for two seasons and winter for the other two seasons in Downtown.
