In the Sims 2, how do you plead with the social worker?
It’s one of those aspiration benefits but I can’t interact with the social worker or call her up in any way. Is this a glitch or do you have to do something else? Because I’m confused :S

You don’t call her up; when she comes to your house to take your kids away, if you click on her there should be an option that says “Plead With Social Worker.” When you select it, the sim will grovel and whatnot, and the Social Worker will say that you have 24 hours to get everything back in order or something.
Long story short: she has to come to your house on her own will, and then you plead. You always know when she’s coming because depressing music starts to play in the background and your child stop being selectable.
